CLS selfdrive was formed as a division of Cleveland Land Services in Oct 2007.
Cleveland Land Services have been trading since 1968 originally as a reclamation contractor and has since extended its operations to include plant hire, landscape, civil engineering, drainage, sports facilities construction and maintenance works. becoming a limited company in 1978. October 2008 sees CLS celebrating 30yrs as a Limited Liability Company. Jointly Cleveland land Services and CLS selfdrive employ over 80 full time staff and have a combined turnover in excess of £7m per annum.
Both companies operate from Park Farm, Dunsdale near Guisborough in Cleveland, within easy reach of the A19 and the A1.
CLS selfdrive operates and maintains its plant out of a purpose built 896 m2 (9600 sq ft) workshop equipped with inspection pits for both heavy and industrial plant and commercial vehicles. Two 3 ton overhead cranes covering the entire floor area provide lifting facilities, complemented by a mobile 28 tonne 4-post lift and one fixed vehicle lift.
